How do we ‘prepare a table’ for grace?

Grace is past learning and the goal of the Course. Minds lighted by the gift of grace.

Open our mind to the call of God. Speed up time by listening to God and opening your mind to his voice. When you unite with your source you are in your natural state of grace. 

Disappearing into God is not about loss of identity but about becoming our true selves. Hasten, there’s an old fashion word. We are speeding up the process. Forgiveness learned and taught leads to a time of timelessness in which we are released to revelation and eternity.

Get to work! Our part has been cast but we need to get ‘er done. All of the rest depends on your part. Accept the role assigned to you and you become a little closer to God. Grace comes before Heaven. 

The Face of Christ: One who went to revelation and brought back the reflection of Heaven to Earth.

The holy instant (now) is our return. We carry grace back to ourselves, this is heavenly giving. Revelation closely follows grace and is assured.

What is the experience that comes from Grace?

Workbook 170: There is no cruelty in God and none in me

          You do not attack in self defense. You attack with intention to hurt. You think hurting another brings you freedom. You are trying to defend against fear via attack and it’s a crazy idea. Attack creates fear and makes it grow. By attacking you keep your fear. 

          *Today’s lesson can save you more time and needless misery than you can possibly imagine. What we resist persists. We make it real by defending against it. When you lay down your arms then you see past it.

          By attacking we create an enemy within. This inner enemy deprives you of peace. Self defense incorrectly assumes that (A) ideas leave their source (B) attributes of love are projected onto fear. So you think that fear brings you safety and escape. Now love contains fear and it is the enemy. This is completely upside down thinking. Look at fear dispassionately. The final obstacle to peace is the fear of God. This puts fear upon the throne. *Leave the fear of God here. Be sure that this is the right choice. Making this choice will restore vision to you. Holy vision is the goal of the work ACIM. 

          So practice seeing through the eyes of Christ. Our voice belongs to God and echoes his. Our heart will be at peace when we have chosen love over idols. When this happens the attributes God gave to you in your creation will finally be restored to you. The call of God has been heard and answered. Fear has made way for love.

          Now we devote more time & effort to The Course. We are preparing for another level of understanding. Go on from here with more faith and more certainty about the path ahead. In the past our path has wavered and our commitment as well. Now we speed up with a firmer purpose and goal. Love waits for us at the journey’s end. A love with no opposite- all encompassing love. This review shortens time to open up a path of light in us. Jesus takes the journey with us. He forgets no one. Heaven is incomplete without you. Heaven and Jesus are waiting for you.

          This review is your gift to God. You are his voice, his hands through which he saves the world. Take your brother’s hand, we do not walk alone. Your extension of love comes from God. Go to sleep with the thought of God. Experience of the practice brings faith beyond words. Uncertainty and pain have no meaning.
